Load cells typically use Strain Gauges, which are thin metal foil elements, to measure the deformation or strain experienced when a load or force is applied to the load cell.When a load is applied to a load cell, the load causes the load cell's body or structure to deform slightly. This change in resistance is typically measured using a Wheatstone bridge circuit, which allows for accurate measurement of the small changes in resistance.The electrical signal generated by the strain gauges is then conditioned, amplified, and processed to obtain a usable output, usually in the form of voltage, current, or digital data. This output can be further utilized for display, recording, control, or integration with other systems for various applications.
