Strain Gauges are small devices that change their electrical resistance when subjected to mechanical deformation. The strain gauge is bonded to a load-bearing element, such as a metal or elastomeric material, within the Load Cell.When a force or load is applied to the load cell, it causes the load-bearing element to deform, resulting in strain on the strain gauge. This strain causes a change in the electrical resistance of the strain gauge. By measuring this change in resistance, the load cell can determine the magnitude of the applied force or load.
